Well, I am quite a bit late on this1, but it’s a must-share so I’ll do it anyway.
2024 was amazing for Sports Square.
As a newsletter, we saw a huge increase from 2024 in our first full year of publishing. Our monthly views just keep on going up every single month, and our post views are getting crazier and crazier!
I can’t really condense my articles into a top 5 list, because I’m proud of many articles. Views-wise, my Super MEGA Roundup would be the first one off the list, and it was great to have writers like
, , , and 2 come on board to talk about their favorite players. Not only that, but I am also extremely thankful to be able to work with
on a piece analyzing the Orlando Magic. I was only so far into my writing journey, and I already got to work with a guy who’s been to the pinnacle of sports. If we’re just talking about a piece (not special or anything), we can give that to my Texans Playoff Run piece, which for some reason, the big part of the piece got cut off and went somewhere.
The piece I made about the Oakland Athletics before they played their final game has to be one of my favorite pieces I’ve ever written. I write with a lot of onomatopoeias, and I describe actions a lot, but this has to be a piece where I really dug deep into my own personal experiences and expressed them in words. If you were to ask me a piece that I was proud of, this would be one of them (although it took quite a long time).
That’s 3 so far. Looking at the 4th one, this is one of my latest pieces, and I’m very proud of it. This one kind of inspired my
’s latest series about team’s unsung players helping during the playoff push. It’s hit pretty good in views and is another piece I’m extremely proud of. The MLB really does have a problem. Finally, covering the Paris Olympics 2024 on Sports Square this summer was a pleasure. I remember waking up early every morning, watching GoldZone, taking notes on every single game played, and so much more. Then, after I slept a bit in the afternoon, it was time to put notes into words and publish it all in an edition.

Plans for 2025:
As we head into the New Year (or are already in the New Year), here are Sports Square’s plans for 2025:
Frequent mailbags
Organized webpage
More analysis writings
More collaborations
Players on the newsletter
Guest articles
Fantasy coverage
Frequent podcasts
Gaming?
Live conference.
Here’s the problem. I can’t do this without you. You need to take action and subscribe. You need to take action and share this newsletter with all your friends and family. It takes a hella lot of time to write all these articles, and I really want to tap into my potential when writing this stuff. So please please please use the buttons below and take action. I’m not asking you to pay. It costs $0 for this and it takes less than 1 minute. How hard can it be?
If you have any suggestions, be sure to leave them below. Thanks for enriching yourself with Sports Square content in 2024; I hope you do the same in 2025.
We’re at the point where the New Year has passed the Prime Meridian.
Also, huge thanks to
and and who’ve all collaborated, worked with me on pieces, and have been really helpful to the success of Sports Square!
Congrats on the growth, Smayan! I'm excited to see where you take the newsletter in 2025!
