They’re done. It’s over once again.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have lost once again in the NLDS. Last year to the San Diego Padres and this time to the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks finished 16 games behind them and because of the number has become one of the biggest upsets in MLB history. Their pitching is what most people would blame, and yes that was something to blame. It wasn’t just that. Where were Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman? They went a combined 1 for 21 in the series. Even Miguel Rojas had more hits than both of them combined (2 for 6). This is almost like an everlasting curse. Yay, we got 100 wins! Pop the champagne, we are in October. Then comes the loss in the NLDS. Blah, blah, blah. We didn’t have enough talent. Blah, blah, blah.
One of the most historic season from one team, come to an end.
Yesterday, the Atlanta Braves were hanging by a thread. Having a chance to maybe get past the always hot in October, Philadelphia Phillies. Today, that’s not happening. The Phillies wanted to finish it off on that day (yesterday) and they did it. The final score is 3-1 and something not many people expected to happen. We did! Phillies made it to the world series last year and unlike the dodgers (right above), their 2 star players, Trea Turner and Bryce Harper, actually worked and went 22 for 46 altogether. This phillies team continues pulling the trigger in the postseason and just keeps on winning! For the last two years, the barves have lost to their own divisional rival, in the NLDS.

Cowboys vs Chargers. What to expect? Who to pick?
This MNF football game will be LIT up and we know it. Justin Herbert vs. Dak Prescott, who come off a big lost to 49ers where Prescott threw 3 INTERCEPTIONS. The chargers are coming off a bye, but before that, they WON against the raiders by 7. The cowboys have lost their last two games on the road and once again on the road to L.A. If you’re in a pick-em contest, then here’s who you should pick.
The Chargers.
The Cowboys are coming off an awful loss on prime time, and this Chargers team is coming off an EXTRA DAY of rest after their bye week. This one is going to be close, which is why I started with lit-up. Dallas has a great defense and I think that’s going to be a big thing for them, but you can’t just have defense to win a football game. You need your offense to work as well. The chargers aren’t going to play the greatest defense, but their offense will work very well.
Score: 27-21
Betting Lines:
SPREAD: Cowboys -2.5 (-110) | Chargers +2.5 (-110)
OVER/UNDER: OVER 50.5 (-110) | UNDER 50.5 (-110)
Moneyline: Cowboys -135| Chargers +11
Who’s our top 5 basketball players?
We all have opinions. Shohei Ohtani is the best player in the world, obviously. No, it’s Babe Ruth, Ronald Acuña Jr etc. This is our opinions on whom the best players are in the NBA, from top to bottom.
Giannis Antetokounmpo
Antetokounmpo joined Wilt Chamberlain as the only players in NBA history to average at least 30 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists while shooting 50% from the floor, carrying the Bucks to the best record in the NBA in 2022-23.
Nikola Jokic
He left no doubt who was the best player in the Finals, becoming the first player in history to lead the postseason in points, rebounds, and assists. The Suns, Lakers, and Heat had no answer.
Jayson Tatum
With now an improved Celtics team, he should very well make it to the NBA finals again and this time WIN it. Last year, he eclipsed the 30 points per game mark for the first time in his career, did a much better job of getting to the foul line and continues to be a sound defensive player, making him precisely the kind of two-way wing every NBA team would love to have.
Luka Dončić
His stats last season didn’t seem the kind you would see for a team under .500. He recorded career bests in scoring (32.4 points per game) and effective field goal percentage (56%) while averaging 8.6 rebounds and 8.0 assists per game.
Stephen Curry
He’s a legend and if you’re a basketball fan, you know it. Unfortunately, injuries are too much for him, that’s why he’s at 5. One of his plus sides is that he led the NBA in 3-pointers made for the third straight season, doing everything he could do to help his team stay afloat. He now has Chris Paul on his team which could help Steph a lot, especially with minutes and injury as they both are dynamite players.
