I'm currently writing an article on Marte's suspension and I feel like he has lost a ton of his potential now. Also, your supposed to be a Dodgers fan, you seem like Betts at short is the worst thing to ever happen. I personally think it's a good move. Then you talk about his 2 errors in Spring Training. You have to realize that this is Spring Training, their arms are still getting back into the habit of throwing every day and remember it's not like he has played short/2nd his whole career. He is used to throwing far. We all make errors, no matter if your a little leaguer, travel player (me), high school player, college player, or in the big leagues.
Well... Betts at short is good. But, it doesn't feel normal. We all know Mookie can make plays, but the question is, can he make it at shortstop? I play baseball too. I can't even TOUCH the shortstop position. You have to be a natural, or you have to be practicing that position when you play T-ball. Mookie has had only 16 appearances. Betts is my favorite player. If he can pull this off, he's the G.O.A.T. (still behind ohtani), but even I, and even I think that he won't do super well. I predict a midseason trade for Willy Adames.
Lux's 2 throws? That's the whole damn main factor. I compared it to when he was a top prospect. He completely lost his footing. And, when someone doesn't do well on defense, they overthink it on offense and do bad there too. But remember. Spring Training is supposed to show GM's if they can make the big leagues and play right. Did Lux do that? No. But, will he be demoted like other prospects do? No!
Well I understand your point but now your also hating on Lux. he hasn't been able to play in almost a year and they also moved Lux to 2nd so he doesn't stress his arm out. I could see a trade for Adames too. Dodgers get: Willy Adames Brewers Get: Gavin Lux, Emmett Sheehan. Also don't take my trade idea. I'm making a post with a whole bunch of trade ideas soon. Don't take that Idea either.
