A Review of Every NFL Team
Carolina Panthers
The league and fans still put the Panthers as the worst team in the league. Bryce Young came out from his rookie year going 2-15, as it would’ve been the 1st overall pick if it wasn’t traded to Chicago. Time is running out for Bryce Young to prove himself as a playoff QB (at least) before a replacement can be talked about.
New England Patriots
We are now 5 seasons without Brady in New England and since then, they made the playoffs only once in 2021. Maye still has work to do if the Patriots want to be decent this season. Last season, New England finished 4-13.
Arizona Cardinals
This team has a really good QB in Kyler Murray, but is he there yet? Besides him, this team doesn’t really have any pieces we can even talk about.
New York Giants
A team that had a spectacular playoff appearance in 2022 when beating Minnesota in the Wild Card Round went back to their old form, playing absolutely trash. Barkley is off the team now, and the Giants might not go anymore for the next few years as they are/should be in rebuild mode.
New Orleans Saints
The Saints probably will miss the playoffs for a while. They’re in cap hell and signed a few nobodies. Their rebuild might’ve just begun.
Las Vegas Raiders
This team has everything a playoff team should have… Other than a good QB. They could finish 2nd in the division if they can get this piece, but… It’s an if.
Denver Broncos
They are rebuilding. They haven’t been good since their championship run in 2015, where they won Super Bowl 50 against the Panthers.
Tennessee Titans
After the Titans lost Derrick Henry, the wheels went off the bus. Will Levis isn’t as good as the competition and so things are looking gloomy for the Titans.
Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings missed the playoffs last season after an embarrassing 2022 playoff run. They lost Cousins but got the national champion QB, JJ McCarthy. If McCarthy is playing like he’s on a 10-0 Michigan team, the Vikings are contenders for a playoff spot.
Washington Commanders
The Commanders have never been this high before, and they’re here now because of the selection of Jayden Daniels. Daniels does need to prove to the league that he’s a superstar QB, but I believe that he will do his job. Is it finally happening? Yes, the Commanders will finally become a Super Bowl contender.
New York Jets
If Rodgers plays more snaps than last season, the Jets are playoff contenders. They won’t win the AFC East because of the star-studded Dolphins, but hey, miracles can happen. Rodgers missed all of last season after playing just less than 5 snaps on the Jets due to a torn ACL. We all hope Rodgers is healthier this season.
Seattle Seahawks
They can definitely clinch the playoffs, but the question is can they survive?
Atlanta Falcons
The signing of Cousins and the weakness of the Falcons division should help them clinch a playoff spot or even compete to win the division.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Lawrence recently signed a huge contract, so now all he needs to do is try to bring the Jaguars back to the playoffs. He can prove that his huge contract was worth it for the Jaguars if they make it to the AFC title game. Last season, the Jaguars choked an 8-3 to finish 9-8 and missed the playoffs. At that time when they were 8-3, they were projected to be the 1 seed.
Indianapolis Colts
The Colts were so close to the playoffs. If Goodson didn’t drop the ball on 4th and 1, I the Colts would’ve marched into the end zone, make the playoffs and eventually would’ve won the AFC South by surprise. The Colts are getting back Richardson this year and we may see a Colts team that will make the playoffs, because of how good they were at the home stretch of 2023.
Dallas Cowboys
They should be a team in the top 10 in power rankings, but if this were power rankings, I would rank them at #17. They choked a potential trip to the NFC Championship in Santa Clara and the 49ers if they didn’t lose to the Packers in the Wild Card Round last season. This is the last season on Dak’s contract and the result of the 2024 Cowboys will show if Dak deserves an extension of not in 2025.
Los Angeles Chargers
They’re here because of Jim Harbaugh. However, Justin Herbert has no one to throw to as Kennan Allen left for Chicago. Ekeler went to Washington. The Chargers can be a playoff contender this season. Their last playoff run was in 2022 when they choked a 27-0 lead to Jacksonville in the Wild Card Round.
Cleveland Browns
Their defense was actually good last season as they claimed the #5 seed, but only for the regular season. They lost to Houston because the defense didn’t show up. Expectations have risen for the 2024 Browns now that they’ve made the playoffs last season. On the offense, however, their QB room is decent, with DeShaun Watson. If Watson played like the 2019 version of him, the Browns could make a run to the divisional round of the playoffs.
Los Angeles Rams
The Rams have a rising star in WR Puka Nacua. He has already broken records in his rookie season and now, looks to be better than last season. However on the downside, Stafford is aging, Aaron Donald retired, and now, I’m not sure if this team is suited for the playoffs or not.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers got Russell Wilson and Justin Fields after they sent Pickett to the Eagles despite a playoff berth in 2023. My current expectation for this team is a trip to the Divisional Round unless Wilson plays like he’s still on the Denver Broncos. The defense was decent, with TJ Watt carrying.
Chicago Bears
They’re here because of Caleb Williams. They’re rookies are good, but they haven’t experienced how players play in the NFL yet. If Williams makes a splash this season and their newly acquired Keenan Allen plays like he’s a Pro Bowler, the Bears are conference contenders.
Miami Dolphins
The WR core is probably the best in the NFL, with Hill, Waddle, and OBJ. They’re all being thrown to by star QB, Tua Tagovailoa. They would’ve won the AFC East if it wasn’t for Tua being pressured as he was attempting a game-winning drive by the Bills. The Dolphins can win the AFC East this season, and become a new conference contender.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This team beat the Eagles with Baker Mayfield in the playoffs. They can probably beat the NFC’s best team so far, which is the 49ers.They have a great offense and defense. But, with Kirk Cousins coming into their division, can the Bucs take the NFC South for the 4th time in a row?
Houston Texans
CJ Stroud was a good QB last season and I was surprised when I saw him win a playoff game. They were lucky the Jaguars collapsed or else, it would’ve taken until this season to try to make the playoffs. I see them as conference contenders with this young and amazing team.
Green Bay Packers
They nearly upset the 49ers. If they have done that, it would’ve been a Super Bowl trip. Jordan Love has turned into a phenom and the defense makes clutch plays. They can be a contender for a Super Bowl ring.
Buffalo Bills
They lost Stefon Diggs and now, Josh Allen has no one to throw to. He’ll have to trust decent receivers like MVS and Claypool. They’ll probably fall to 2nd in the AFC East because of this. I don’t see them making it past the divisional round.
Cincinnati Bengals
They didn’t make the playoffs last season because of injuries, but this season, I expect the best season out of Joe Burrow. We all know the Bengals are looking for that long-awaited Super Bowl ring after losing Super Bowl LVI to the Rams back in 2022. I believe it can happen this year if Burrow manages to beat Mahomes this year.
Detroit Lions
Their best season ever happened recently in 2023, where they were so close to the Super Bowl. They were just so close that I even gave tons of respect to them for making the NFC Championship. This season, they’re a new Super Bowl contender, but are gonna have to race the Packers for the NFC North.
Philadelphia Eagles
They had a good chance for a Super Bowl when they started 10-1, however, they finished 11-5 and lost to the Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round. This season, I expect them to be better than Dallas and go for it all this season. Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown are a good duo, but they just need to give it their all this season.
Baltimore Ravens
Lamar Jackson would be a Super Bowl QB if he didn’t sell against Kansas City in the AFC Championship. The defense was way better than everyone else in the league, and they looked like they were the champs. Well… They weren’t.Next year, I think they’ll make a deep run and potentially win the Super Bowl.
San Francisco 49ers
One goalline stop short of the Lombardi. The 49ers place 2nd because they lost to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl in OT. Purdy is now in his 3rd year, and he looks like he’s the 49ers franchise QB that can win at least one Super Bowl. On the downside, fans think Shanahan won’t ever win a Super Bowl because of Super Bowl LVIII. Who knows? Maybe they get over the hump this season and finally win it all.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs are a dynasty. They are looking for the NFL’s first 3-peat, which is exactly what I think they’ll do. Mahomes is a legend and a potential GOAT alongside with Kelce, while you have a weapon in Chris Jones on the D. This team is UNSTOPPABLE. I’m pretty sure they’ll win every Super Bowl appearance with the Mahomes/Kelce duo. It’ll be a while until the Chiefs become bad again.
